Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Wontons

Easy to make Gooey Chocolate Wontons

Time: 15 mins
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
  • 2 eggroll wrappers, cut in half in triangle fashion (we used Nasoya "all natural" brand)
  • Some chocolate chips
  • 3 teaspoons cream cheese
  • Some raspberries (frozen works)
Ok so imagine you just finished dinner, you have a craving for chocolate and you see a couple of extra eggroll wrappers sitting in your fridge. This is the situation I found myself in tonight so I made Chocolate Wontons! I would like to note it was Kim's idea though.

You can pretty much put what ever you want in them but I made Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake flavored ones and Chocolate Peanut Butter ones.

Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Wontons
  1. First, no matter what you do, cut your wonton wrappers in half so they make triangles.
  2. Next depending on what kind of wonton you make, place a teaspoon of cream cheese (or other creamy filling) on the wrapper.
  3. Place your chocolate, raspberries, (etc.) in the filling.
  4. With your finger, wet the edges of the wrapper with some water and fold one half over of the other to make a triangle shaped wonton with the filling sealed inside. The water will help seal the edges, so make sure you press tight on all the edges to keep the chocolaty goodness inside!
  5. And last but not least, put it on the skillet (heated to medium high) with some melted coconut oil so it cooks well. It took me about 5 minutes, flipping half way, to cook them on half heat.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Wontons

So I know the picture doesn't look great, but I'm sure you can just imagine how good it tastes ... gooey chocolate blending with peanut butter in a warm crisp dough ...

Explanation for the leaking chocolate above: The wontons are fairly thin and partial to breaking, either while being folded or while cooking, but the taste will be just as good even if leaking occurs.  (don't judge a wonton by it's leakage)   - kim

And there you have it, delicious chocolate wontons!

** Warning: This recipe is NOT healthy, gluten free or sugar free, but it is Kenny-approved ;)
